ARTISTS & SCULPTURES

The theme for the exhibition this year is:

ELEVATING OUR BUILT ENVIRONMENT THROUGH PUBLIC ART

Each of the sculptures selected for the Exhibition addresses the theme in various ways. This involves integrating artistic expressions into urban landscapes and communal spaces. Public art enhances the aesthetic appeal of communities, contributing to a sense of place and identity. Beyond aesthetics, it can serve as a catalyst for social interaction and community engagement.

Public art projects often aim to provoke thought and have the power to inspire, calm and educate, fostering a deeper connection between people and their surroundings. By incorporating art into public spaces, cities and communities can promote creativity, imagination, and innovation.

Moreover, public art can contribute to economic development and play a role in sustainability efforts, promoting environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable design practices.

Ultimately, elevating our natural and built environment through public art is about creating vibrant and inclusive spaces that celebrate creativity, diversity, and the shared human experience. It underscores the importance of art in shaping a more livable, engaging, and culturally enriched urban environment for everyone.

These nine new sculptures, along with the six in our Permanent Collection, will enhance the picturesque and natural seaside environment of Rosemary Beach!
